Man films red squirrels in his garden in Mersea Island
A couple said having endangered red squirrels regularly visit their garden was better than TV.
Red squirrels have been in decline since the introduction of the invasive non-native grey but 20 were released in Mersea Island as part of a project to boost their numbers more than a decade ago.
David Scott often films them in his garden, having first spotted them about seven years ago.
He said: "We see them get right up to the lounge door and take hazelnuts. I am delighted, it is better than having a television."
