A van driver had a "lucky escape" after his vehicle ended up in a flooded ford at Sible Hedingham in Essex.

The driver was able get out of the van and get to safety while his van was "swept away", the fire service said.

Essex County Fire and Rescue Services arrived at the ford when the van got stuck on Wednesday.

In the aftermath of Storm Henk, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for further heavy rain in Essex falling on already saturated ground.

The Met Office said this may lead to further flooding and travel disruption between 12:00 GMT and 03:00 on Friday.
