Motorcyclist dies in crash with car near Colchester

A motorcyclist has died after he was involved in a crash with a car in a village.

The crash happened in Dedham Road, in Ardleigh, near Colchester at about 15:00 BST on Saturday, Essex Police said.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have footage of the crash to get in touch.

The road was closed while both vehicles were recovered.
