The Imperial in Exeter closed temporarily after staff members reported feeling ill

A Wetherspoon's pub in Devon had to temporarily close after multiple staff fell ill.

The Imperial on New North Road in Exeter shut on Monday but it is due to reopen at 08:00 BST on Wednesday, Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said.

Mr Gershon said: "It was closed as a precaution after a number of staff reported ill.

"The pub has undergone a full sanitising clean."
