Holocaust Memorial Day: Buttons sent in across the world

A school in Troutbeck Bridge has been collecting buttons to remember the 1.5 million children murdered in the Holocaust.

The students were inspired by the story of the Windermere boys, a group of 260 boys and 40 girls who were brought to the area at the end of the war.

Buttons are used to visually show the level of devastation left by the killings.
