A 64-year-old 50 Cent fan has said she has been on a "rollercoaster" since images of her at his concert went viral.

Her enthusiasm for the show in Birmingham was captured on video and then posted on social media where it was seen by the star.

On X, formerly Twitter, he wrote that Mary Jane Farquharson, from Nuneaton, was "by far" the coolest person there.

Since then, videos of Ms Farquharson have been viewed millions of times.

"I've just had a ball," added the fan, known as "Momma Jane" to her son's friends with whom she attended the show, along with her son.

She said, however, she was disappointed that 50 Cent had not approached her directly and agreed to meet her.

"I'm not very happy about it," she explained.

There were also some negative comments about her age on social media, and she told BBC CWR "everybody is too easy to judge people".

Ms Farquharson, who has herniated discs and a curved spine, added she did not have a lot of time for people who complimented her on her attendance, as she felt patronised by "it's so nice to see somebody of your age at a 50 gig".

At the Resorts World Arena show and since, Ms Farquharson said she and her son had enjoyed "a fun, fun time" and met some "lovely people".

She said people who knew her well understood how much she liked music, which she said helped her relax and keep her mind off health issues.

"If you look at that video of me doing that 50 Cent signature move, you will notice that I'm holding on to the handrail and if you look at my hands I am gripping that handrail because I can't stand up straight for any length of time."

But she said she remained young at heart and refused to "sit in the chair and become old and decrepit".
