Solihull site becomes first Commonwealth Games forest

Thousands of trees are being planted in the West Midlands as part of plans to deliver a carbon-neutral Commonwealth Games.

Organisers of the Birmingham Games made the pledge last year and partner Severn Trent Water is planting 2,022 acres of woodland across the West Midlands.

As part of that volunteers have started planting more than 9,000 trees to form a new woodland in Solihull.
