Crimewatch appeal aims to catch Paxton Pits attacker
The case of a woman who was violently assaulted at a nature reserve will feature on national television.
The police said it wanted to re-appeal for information after an assault at Paxton Pits, Cambridgeshire, last year.
BBC's Crimewatch Live will feature the case and an interview with the victim, who will remain anonymous.
The victim was found unconscious by dog walkers after being assaulted in Little Paxton, near St Neots.
Det Insp Verity McCann said she wanted "justice" for the victim and her family and was pleased the case could reach a national audience.
She said: "The victim's assailant has not been caught and we want to get justice for her and her family.
"This will give us the chance to re-appeal to people and keep the case at the forefront of their minds.
"We're continuing to seek opportunities for new lines of inquiry and I am urging anyone who has information, but has not yet come forward, to do the right thing and get in touch."
The victim, a woman in her 50s, suffered serious injuries after she was attacked.
Officers were called to the scene at about 07:40 BST on 29 June last year.
The victim's watch and dog were missing, although the dog was found unharmed a short distance away.
The watch was later handed in to the Paxton Pits Visitor Centre at about 14:30 BST on Saturday 1 July.
At the time of the incident, Det Con Bita Wheatley said it had been "a shocking assault on a woman who was just out walking her dog".
Police has continued to appeal for information.
The segment on the show will be be broadcasted on Tuesday 19 March at 09:30 GMT on BBC One.
