Cambridgeshire Constabulary said there had been "many" ram raids in the county in recent weeks

Raiders used a JCB teleporter to smash into a shop front in the early hours.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary was called by a member of the public to the Londis store in Hall Street in Soham at about 02:00 GMT.

Suspects left with a cash machine on a flatbed van which police said was later recovered. Officers cordoned off the scene.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the force, quoting reference 35/85145/23.

On the force's Facebook page it said: "This is one of many ram raids to take place across the county in recent weeks."

A digger was used to steal a cash machine in Whittlesey on 28 October and farm machinery caused "devastation" at a Spar shop near Royston on 13 October.
