Luton Airport: Burning car said to have started the car park fire
Footage has emerged of a burning car, which could have caused the massive blaze at Luton Airport Terminal 2 car park.
The video was said to be taken shortly after the fire began on the 3rd floor of the car park, late on Tuesday evening.
The woman who filmed the car was there to pick up relatives.
“We saw there is a fire [but] the fire extinguisher from this floor was used so we went to another floor to take another. But at that moment when we came to the car it exploded and we couldn’t come near."
Tens of thousands of passengers are thought to be caught up in the disruption after the fire stopped flights from taking off or landing.
