'The time has passed for more inquiries'

Victims and survivors "have had enough of inquiries, consultations and discussions," the chair of a landmark inquiry into child sexual abuse in England and Wales has said.

Asked if a new national inquiry would hinder the implementation of her recommendations, Professor Alexis Jay said: "It would certainly cause delays."

Prof Jay told BBC Radio 4's Today programme she was "very unhappy with the politicisation of child sexual exploitation" done in a "very uninformed way".
