Volunteers in Wainfleet All Saints had to replace the tree's lights after they were pulled off.

The display was found smelling "horrible" on Saturday morning, according to the town council.

Hawthorne Medical Practice on William Way, Wainfleet, was temporarily closed in 2020.

Funding has been secured for the work, which the council says will have a 'positive impact'.

Heavy rain is expected from the early hours of Tuesday for much of Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
