‘How I nearly missed the beauty in this image’
More than 49,000 images have been submitted to Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition held at the Natural History Museum in London.
The judges can only pick 100 finalists for the competition, but they also select a further 25 images for the public to nominate for the People’s Choice Award.
BBC World News speaks to two of the runners-up of the People’s Choice Award, Andy Parkinson and Guillermo Esteves to find out more about their images.
