Two people cut free after car crashes into ditch

Two people have been cut free after a car crashed into a ditch.

Emergency services including police and fire were called to a one-vehicle collision on the B1095 Ramsey Road, at Farcet near Peterborough, at about 22:50 BST on Thursday.

Cambridgeshire Police said two people were cut free, but were not thought to be seriously injured.

The road was shut while the incident was ongoing. No-one was arrested.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a road traffic collision on B1095 near Farcet.

"Using specialist equipment firefighters released two casualties who were left in the care of ambulance crews. The crews returned to their stations by 00:40 BST."
