Fox rescue after fall into flat through skylight
Two fox cubs who fell through a broken skylight and got trapped in an empty flat have been rescued.
The cubs were found on Friday having fallen 3m (10ft) into the property in Ramsgate in Kent.
Police officers called the RSPCA with concerns the foxes could be injured after they did not leave through an open door.
Tina Nash, RSPCA inspector, said the animals had been crouched on top of kitchen cabinets and had been "clearly very frightened".
Ms Nash said: "There was shattered glass all over the floor as well as a brick.
"They were lucky not to be seriously injured - but they were very nervous and we don’t know how long they’d been trapped in the apartment for."
After checking the animals over, RSPCA officers took them to a nearby park and released them.
Ms Nash said: "They were keen to get away.”
