Six-month road closure begins for paving work
Drivers in Wolverhampton are being warned of a six-month road closure in the city centre, which begins on Monday.
The work is on Darlington Street, between the Chapel Ash Island and Red Lion Street junctions, and will see the excavation and installation of new paving.
Wolverhampton City Council said businesses would remain open and accessible to pedestrians.
Two bus stops on Darlington street would be suspended, with a signed diversion in place, it added.
The work is the next phase of a major £19m transformation scheme happening in the city, which is set to take about two years.
It follows the completion of new spaces built in Victoria Street and University of Wolverhampton at The Halls.
Later in the programme, work will also be completed on Queen Square and Lichfield Street.
