Arrest after stranger grabs baby from mum on train
A man has been arrested after reports of an attempted child abduction on a train.
British Transport Police (BTP) said it happened as a woman was preparing to leave the train with her baby, with a man taking "off down the carriage" as the train approached Worksop railway station in Nottinghamshire on 17 August.
The force previously said "a relative managed to grab the baby back".
On Friday, a 57-year-old man was detained and bailed pending further inquiries, but police did not specify what he was arrested for.
The man, described by BTP as "a stranger", left the train at Barnsley.
BTP is still appealing for witnesses and urged anyone who saw what happened to contact officers.
