Two charged with murder after burglary victim's death

Two men have been charged with the murder of a 72-year-old man who died in hospital after a burglary at his home.

Wayne Milsom, 49, and Ryan Robbins, 33, both of Keynsham, have been charged with the murder of Stephen Ridgeway.

Mr Ridgeway died on 7 December, five weeks after being injured in an attack at his house in Tenby Road, Keynsham, in the early hours of 3 November.

No pleas were entered when the two men appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. They were remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Bristol Crown Court on Friday.

Avon and Somerset Police has urged anyone with information relating to the case to come forward.
