Two teenagers have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed and suffered life-threatening injuries.

Officers were called to the junction of Frankley Beeches Road and the A38 Bristol Road South in the Northfield area of Birmingham in the early hours of Monday, West Midlands Police said.

The victim was taken to hospital and the two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A cordon was put in place on the A38 between Frankley Beeches Road and Lockwood Road.

The northbound section of the A38 remain closed, according to traffic information supplier Inrix.
