Man electrocuted when funfair ride hit power cable

A man has been injured after he was electrocuted when a fairground ride caught an overhead power cable.
Sussex Police said the man, aged in his 20s, sustained an "electric shock" at a St George's Day fair in Markstakes Corner, Chailey, at about 11:00 BST and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Ambulance crews assessed two other people who did not need further treatment, said the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said a fairground ride had "caught on to an overhead power cable causing electrocution".
The fire service said it made the scene safe, confirming there was no fire, before handing over to UK Power Networks.
The fair's organisers said on social media the event had been cancelled following the incident.
