Men charged over serious disorder in city

Two men have been charged in connection with serious disorder in Bradford.

Hamid Shah, 33, of Newlands Place, Bradford, appeared before city magistrates on Wednesday charged with assault.

Kane Harrison, 31 of Esholt Lane, Bradford, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and attempt to cause grievous bodily harm and is due before the crown court on 12 June.

West Yorkshire Police said the charges related to an incident on Mount Street on 7 May during which threats were made towards several people.

Mr Shah was remanded into custody to next appear at Bradford Crown Court on 10 June.
