A woman who was hit by an electric motorbike being ridden by a teenager has been left with life-threatening injuries, police have said.

The woman, a pedestrian in her 70s, was taken to hospital for treatment after the collision, which happened at about 17:00 BST on Wednesday on Leeds Old Road in Bradford.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while unfit, theft of a motor vehicle and assault.

West Yorkshire Police appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash, or who had video footage from the scene, to get in touch.
