Two men arrested after pedestrian dies in crash
GoogleTwo men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a pedestrian died in a crash on the A20 near Ashford.
Kent Police said they were called to the incident on Hythe Road at Mersham le Hatch, near the junction with The Street, Mersham, at 23:18 GMT on 1 January.
The force attended with the South East Coast Ambulance Service, but a man in his 40s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
After midnight, officers recovered a damaged silver car in the Osborne Road area of Willesborough.
The two men arrested remain in custody, Kent Police added.
The force is now asking anyone with information, who saw the crash or who has any footage to contact them.
