Man denies murder after body found in rural spot

A man has pleaded not guilty to murdering a 54-year-old who went missing from Tunbridge Wells.

Wayne Woodgate was last been seen entering a van in Goods Station Road on 17 October. His body was found six days later at a rural location in Peasmarsh, East Sussex.

Stephen Castle, of Matfield, Tunbridge Wells, was subsequently charged with his murder, Kent Police said.

The 59-year-old denied the charge during an appearance at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday. A trial date has been set for 22 April.
