Two Guernsey vaccination programmes to end

Guernsey's Covid-19 autumn booster vaccination programme and the children's nasal flu vaccination programme will finish at the end of this month.

The Covid-19 programme started in October 2024 and is delivered for free, in partnership between the States and care providers across the islands.

The children's nasal flu vaccination programme is for young children who missed their pre-school or nursery nasal flu vaccine.

Both programmes will end on 21 December.

Islanders eligible for a COVID-19 autumn booster are:

  • All adults aged 65 years and over
  • Residents in a care home for older adults
  • Individuals aged 6 months to 64 years who are in a clinical risk group

The flu vaccination programme will remain open for eligible adults:

  • Individuals aged 65 and over
  • Adults aged 18 to under 65 in a clinical risk group
  • Pregnant women
  • Frontline health and social care workers
  • Residents in long-stay care homes

The States of Guernsey said islanders interested in either programme should contact their local GP practice.
