Witness appeal after man left unconscious in club

A witness appeal has been launched after a man was left seriously injured in an attack at a Leeds nightclub.

The victim was found unconscious in the men's toilets at Popworld, Cookridge Street, on 15 December, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force said the man suffered serious head injuries in the attack, which happened at about 00:00 GMT.

Officers have released CCTV images of people they believe could have witnessed the attack and asked them to get in contact.

Det Con Glyn Gill said: "We are now in a position to release CCTV images of nine men who were in Popworld, who we believe could have witnessed an assault or could have seen suspects fleeing the scene.

"I wish to stress that we want to identify and speak with these men as witnesses only."

The men in the photos were asked to contact police, as well as any other people who had information about the attack.
