The planning application for the Cleethorpes Beach holiday park will be discussed in August

Plans for a outdoor stage and a screen have been dropped by a holiday park.

The structure at Haven Cleethorpes Beach was built after planning permission was granted in 2021.

However, the stage was relocated from the area set out in the original plans, leading to noise complaints from residents at the adjoining Humberston Fitties site.

Retrospective planning permission was refused by North East Lincolnshire Council last year.

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, a new application has been submitted by the park's owners.

The stage and screen proposal has been removed and replaced by outdoor seating, which will have acoustic screening around it.

The amended application still includes plans for a "jump tower" attraction. In a covering letter, the developer said the tower would have no sound amplification.

The park owners were "willing to work on further mitigations if noise continues to be a concern for Fitties residents", the letter added.

The application will be discussed by the council planning committee on 7 August.
