Man arrested on suspicion of attempted abductions

A man has been arrested after the suspected attempted abductions of two teenage girls.
The girls were approached separately in the Coseley area on Sunday evening and asked to get into a car, but neither did and instead reported it to police, West Midlands Police said.
A spokesperson for the force said officers were alerted to the incidents and spotted a suspect at about 20:30 BST in Birmingham city centre, who they detained.
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction and remained in police custody on Monday as investigations continue.
