Man's body found by the side of major road

Officers have launched an investigation after finding a body by the side of a major road.

Norfolk Police said emergency services including the ambulance service were called to the A47 at King's Lynn, Norfolk at about 09:22 GMT following reports the body of a man in his 20s had been found at the side of the road.

The road was closed between the Pullover roundabout and the Tilney All Saints roundabout at about 10:00 and was reopened at about 17:00.

The man's death is currently being treated as unexplained and officers are continuing to establish the exact circumstances of his death.

His next of kin have been informed.

The force is appealing to speak to anyone who may have information or dashcam footage of a man walking along the A47 on Pullover Road in the early hours of Monday morning.
