Eight fire engines were called to tackle a fire at a scrap metal yard.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to Alexandra Dock near Edward Benefer Way in King's Lynn, Norfolk, at about 22:39 GMT on Thursday.

While crews worked to extinguish the fire the service said no other businesses nearby were affected. The site was checked for remaining fire hotspots on Friday, but none were found.

Norfolk Police said no-one had been injured in the incident.

The incident was resolved at about 00:20 and the force said no crime had been recorded.

A fire investigation is now under way.
