Fans hope for 'big name' club in next FA Cup draw
Tamworth fans have been continuing their celebrations after Sunday’s victory over Burton Albion.
The non league side won 4-3 on penalties after extra time left the teams even at 1-1.
Brett Walton, who runs the Tamworth FC Social Podcast, described it as an "incredible" match.
"It still puts hairs on my neck, it's just unbelievable," he said.
"I still can't quite take in what we’ve done really."
He said when the match went to penalties he started to believe his side had a chance of winning, and singled out goalkeeper Jas Singh in particular.
The draw for the next round takes place later on Monday, and Mr Walton said he was hoping for a "big club" from the Premier League.
"We really want it away from home as well. Personally, myself, I'd love Arsenal," he said.
"I’m not an Arsenal fan, but I just think a nice big stadium, big crowd, [will] really get us some money in."
He said fans were "absolutely buzzing" following the result and added that the match had brought many fans out who he had not seen for a long time.
"Yesterday, at the game, there was so many people there. You look around at the pub we were all in before and it's just like a who's who of Tamworth," he said.
"People I've not seen for years, people from all over just turned up yesterday.
"I love things like that because there's no better way of uniting people than that, and it's brilliant."
Mr Walton also hopes the result has inspired a future generation of football fans in Tamworth to support their local side.
