Horse remains dumped at recycling centre
The remains of a horse have been found dumped at a household waste recycling centre.
Workers made the discovery at the site in Ripon before alerting North Yorkshire Police.
A police spokesperson said dumping the remnants was contrary to regulations about how animal by-products should be disposed of.
The force said officers were investigating the circumstances that led up to the horse being dumped and urged anyone with information to come forward.
