Man dies after blaze breaks out in flat

A man has died after a fire broke out in a ground floor flat in Sheffield.
Firefighters were called to Erskine Crescent, in Heeley, at about 20:30 BST on Monday, according to South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
A man in his 50s, who was rescued from the property, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A fire service spokesperson said an investigation into the cause of the blaze would begin later, adding: "Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who died."
