A pub on the Somerset Levels has been granted a licence to serve alcohol outdoors at 'bike nights', despite some objections from people living nearby. Somerset Live says the complaints revolve around fear of noise and traffic issues.

Parts of St Pauls in Bristol will close to traffic from Wednesday 26 February for filming at Portland Square. It will last for three days, but the nature of the project is unknown, reports Bristol Live.

More than 1,400 people have signed a petition to try and reopen the tip on Swindon Road in Cheltenham, says Gloucestershire live.
