A woman who died when the car she was driving crashed into a ditch "brought light to those whose lives she touched", her parents said.

Lily Sparrow, 27, of East Road, Isleham, Cambridgeshire, was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa when it left the road and crashed in Putney Hill Road, near Prickwillow, between 13:30 and 14:00 BST on 12 October.

In a statement released through Cambridgeshire Police, her parents said they were "devastated" by the loss of their "beloved daughter".

Officers are appealing for witnesses or for anyone who saw the car in the run up to the crash to get in touch.

"Whilst devastated by her loss, her iridescent beauty will shine and be with us forever.

"The wonderful relationships that she created and the light she brought to those whose lives she touched will always be a source of pride and joy for us."

Police said no-one else was in the car with Ms Sparrow.
