Woman killed in crash named by police
A woman killed in a crash in Derbyshire has been named by police.
Tracey Meek was driving a Vauxhall Corsa when it was involved in a collision with a Land Rover Freelander on the B5023 between Idridgehay and Wirksworth shortly before 09:45 GMT on Tuesday.
Derbyshire Police said the 44-year-old died at the scene.
The Land Rover driver, a woman in her 40s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
A man who was also in the Corsa suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.
Ms Meek's family said in a statement released by police: "We are absolutely devastated at the news of Tracey's death.
"She was a kind, caring and loving person who has been taken from us far too soon and we would respectfully ask for privacy at this time."
The force has appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage.
