Funeral home inquiry drop-in sessions for families
PASupport is being offered to families affected by a major investigation into a Hull funeral home.
Humberside Police removed 35 bodies and a quantity of ashes from Legacy Independent Funeral Directors following a report of "concern for care of the deceased" on 6 March.
The independent charity Victim Support is due to run the first of several drop-in sessions, where people can find out more about welfare services available to them, later.
Two people arrested as part of the investigation remain on police bail.
Sessions will be held on:
- 2 October, from 10:00 BST to 13:00, at Spring Bank Community Centre, Hull.
- 8 October, from 13:00 BST to 16:00, at Haltemprice Leisure Centre, Anlaby
- 17 October, 13:00 BST to 16:00, at Lonsdale Community Centre, Hull
- 23 October, from 10:00 BST to 13:00, at East Riding Petuaria Centre, Brough
A 46-year-old man, who was arrested on 9 March on suspicion of prevention of a lawful and decent burial, fraud by false representation and fraud by abuse of position, remains on conditional bail.
A 54-year-old woman, who was arrested in July on suspicion of money laundering offences, also remains on bail.
