Grade II-listed farmhouse to become six new homes
The Worcestershire Building Preservation Trust A 16th Century farmhouse is set to be turned into six new affordable homes following a boost in funding.
The Grade II-listed Willow Court Farmhouse in Droitwich, which has remained empty for decades, will be restored and converted.
After being granted planning permission, developers are set to start work on preserving the historic timber frame hidden inside and creating flats.
The Worcestershire Building Preservation Trust (WBPT) has received £2,328,595 in funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the project.
The Worcestershire Building Preservation TrustIt forms part of an initiative to create a viable use for historic buildings at risk and boost the number of affordable rent homes available in the area.
Sue Whitehouse, chair of WBPT said: “We have reached the very important delivery stage in our project at Willow Court Farmhouse after much hard work from our dedicated team and incredible support from the local community.”
