A man has died a month after being hit by a car in Maidstone.

The 59-year-old man was struck by a white Toyota H-CR while crossing the A26 Tonbridge Road at approximately 20:10 GMT on Wednesday, 6 November.

The man was taken by ambulance to hospital but died on Friday, 6 December.

Kent Police are now appealing for witnesses who saw the collision or have dashcam footage to come forward.

The Toyota was travelling from Maidstone towards Barming when the collision happened near to the Esso petrol station and the A26 junction with Stanford Drive.
