Mystery green spots on road leave residents baffled

Large green spots painted on a road in Bristol have left local residents perplexed.
Dozens of the markings, ranging in size from around 30cm (1ft) to 1.2m (4ft) wide appeared seemingly overnight on Greville Road in Bedminster.
Local resident Max Walsh said the spots just popped up and they "don't serve any purpose", he said he has "absolutely no idea what they are".
Bristol City Council, said it is investigating the markings.
Three clusters of the bright green spots mysteriously appeared in the middle and at each end of the road but it is still unclear who created them.
Local resident Brook Morris, said: "We think they're part of an art installation because we've had a lot of street art down here.
"They seem quite cool, anything that's colourful is nice."
However, neighbour Claire Ogden, said she thought it was a bid to slow drivers down to 20mph.
"I don't think it will make much of a difference. But this road is quite funky and they like doing things differently so I wasn't surprised that it was green spots," she said.
"I wonder if they're maybe waiting to paint little frogs or lilies or something else on them?"

Regardless of who is responsible for the new street art it has been broadly welcomed.
Resident Caitlyn Budd, said: "I think they're pretty, I like them.
"They appeared last week, probably at night, I didn't see anyone. Maybe they're trying to make the area more green. They're nice."
While neighbour Nicky Coates, said she is a "fan of polka dots".
She said: "It's got us talking hasn't it?"
"It's interesting. I don't know what they're for but I don't have any objection to them. I've seen worse."
'Just very Bristol'
Caggs Diep said it was just what she would expect in the city.
"It's just very Bristol. There's always something going on. The city is very creative so this is nothing unusual."
A spokesman for Bristol City Council, said: "We have confirmed that we are investigating where these road markings have come from.
"We'll keep looking into this in the meantime."
