Motorists have been warned of daytime closures to a section of a high street in the north of the Isle of Man while footpath repairs are carried out.

Parliament Street in Ramsey is set to shut daily between its junctions with West Street and Christian Street until Friday.

The restrictions will be in place each day from 09:30 to 15:30 GMT each day.

Roadside parking in the area has been suspended throughout, with the exception of the disabled space outside the Co-Op, which be be accessible outside the closure times.

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) said it was to allow for work on the footpath and tactile crossing on the western end of the Christian Street junction outside Brunch.

The eastern section of the high street is accessible from the quay or Albert Road, and all shops remain open throughout the works.
