Bristol drugs operation leads to multiple charges

Six people have been charged fter police seized a "significant amount" of heroin, cocaine and amphetamine during raids in Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers found 3.46 stone (22kg) worth of heroin and cocaine and 2.20 stone (14kg) of amphetamine.

Justin Pearce, 44, Joshua Batt, 27, Mark Bourne, 48, Mark Glover, 47, and Leah Murphy, 43, appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday charged with conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine and amphetamine.

They were remanded into custody and a sixth person, Janet Chard, 67, was released on bail.

All six defendants are next due at Bristol Crown Court on 8 January 2025.

The drugs were seized after an operation which saw multiple addresses searched across the city on Monday.
