Three men are to be tried for murder after the fatal stabbing of a teenager.

Eddie Kinuthia, 19, died on 21 July 2023 after being stabbed close to his home in the Grosvenor Road area of St Pauls, Bristol.

The case of Zachariah Talbert Young, 26, of Easton, Paul Elijah Hayden, 21, of Hanham and Cartell Williams, 28, of no fixed abode, was heard at Bristol Crown Court earlier after the three were charged with his murder on Friday.

The men are yet to enter a plea but a provisional trial date was set for 6 October.

Mr Talbert Young and Mr Hayden were also charged with the attempted murder of a man in his late teens who was found with stab wounds at the junction of Easton Road and Easton Way in Bristol on 2 February 2024.

The victim survived and is continuing to recover, according to Avon and Somerset Police.

Judge Peter Blair KC said: "All three defendants, that is Paul Hayden, Zachariah Talbert Young and Cartell Williams, in relation to both of the cases which are before me today, will be remanded in custody."

There will be a trial preparation hearing on 31 March, the judge said.
