Major blaze brought under control by eight crews
A major blaze on an industrial estate has been brought under control by eight fire crews from across two counties.
Firefighters were called at 01:25 BST to the derelict commercial building on Little Money Road on Loddon Industrial Estate, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said.
Eight appliances from Loddon, Earlham, Great Yarmouth, Hethersett, Harleston, Wymondham, Beccles and Lowestoft put out the blaze and remained there for the rest of the night to monitor the site.
Pub worker Fiona Buck, who saw the blaze on her way home, said: "It was quite surprising because of how big it was."
She was driving to Ditchingham when she pulled over at the side of the road some time after 01:00.
"We were heading out of town and I just noticed the orange lights... and saw two fire engines.
"The whole building was pretty much on fire."
Locally, the site affected was said to have been previously occupied by Mussett Aerospace.
Residents had been advised to keep doors and windows closed.
The fire service said: "Crews used breathing apparatus, main and hose reel jets and a hydrant to extinguish the fire."
