Police have informed the family of a missing 73-year-old woman that they have found a body at a dock.

Norfolk Police said while formal identification was yet to take place, the family of Mary White, who went missing in September, had been informed.

The body was found at Bentinck Dock in King's Lynn, Norfolk, by a member of the public just before 11:00 GMT on Thursday.

Police and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

Ms White was last seen at her home in Nelson Avenue, in Downham Market, Norfolk, before she went missing in late September.

CCTV footage showed her walking along a street in her pyjamas at 03:31 BST on Wednesday 25 September.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
