A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after four people were injured at a fireworks display.

Norfolk Police said a firework from outside the event entered the crowd at the Fawkes in the Walks display in King's Lynn on Friday 1 November.

Doctors and paramedics treated people for minor injuries at the scene.

The man, in his 20s, was taken to King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.

It is believed the event, organised by West Norfolk Council, was attended by a record 20,000 people.

The council said: "Although we make a great effort each year to discourage fireworks or sparklers in the park, the firework that entered the crowd was from a property outside our event."
