Coastal road to get 30mph speed restriction
Motorists have been warned to expect delays on a section of the eastern coast of the Isle of Man as speed restrictions are introduced.
Temporary traffic lights have been put in place on the northern side of the Everlasting Bend on the A2 Laxey to Ramsey Road for the next three weeks, to allow for kerb and footway refurbishment works.
The speed limit on the normally derestricted section of road has been reduced to 30mph (48km/h) through the works, with 40mph (64km/h) buffer zones either side.
The restrictions are set to stay in place until 18:00 BST on 26 July.
The busy A2 road links those in Maughold, Laxey and Lonan with Ramsey in north and Onchan in the east.
