Appeal after driver hit by teens in car park

A driver was hit by three boys thought to be teenagers in a supermarket car park, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the man in his 50s suffered cuts and bruises when he was assaulted in the car park at Morrisons on Pomphlett Road in Plymstock at about 18:00 BST on 3 September.

One of the suspects hit the man's black Ford Fusion car while it was stationary at the pedestrian crossing near the supermarket petrol station and when the man got out of the car, he was attacked, the force reported.

Officers have issued descriptions of the suspects and are asking witnesses to contact them.

Police described the first suspect as a white male, about 14-15 years old with strawberry-blond hair.

They said the second suspect was an Asian male aged about 14-15 years who was short with dark hair and wore a rucksack.

The third suspect was a white male riding a bicycle, they said.

Officers said they would particularly like to speak to a woman in a white Mini who stopped to help the victim after the attack.
