The man in his 30s and from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of affray

A man in his 30s has been arrested after he made threats with a chainsaw and an axe, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said firearms officers were called to Bonhay Road, Exeter, shortly before 01:00 BST on Thursday after they had received reports of a man making threats before he went into a property.

Police said officers negotiated with the man and he left the property.

The man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of affray and was given an adult caution, the force added.
