An investigation is due to begin into a large fire at a factory from which a man had to be rescued.

More than a dozen crews were sent to a distribution warehouse in Burnmoor Street, Leicester, near the King Power Stadium, at about 18:30 GMT on Monday.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said everyone in the building had been accounted for and an investigation into the cause would begin later.

Area manager Chris Parsons said two fire crews were still at the scene and Burnmoor Street would remain closed in both directions for the "foreseeable future".

He said 10 fire crews and a number of special appliances had been used to tackle the "significant" fire.

Leicestershire Police said surrounding roads including Filbert Street, Sawday Street and Brazil Street had since reopened.
